Bluetooth and Call Center Headsets
Challenge
Headphones and headsets innovator Jabra partnered with Periscopes Up to help clarify user profiles and identify preferences for two different products over a period of two years. The end game was to validate the brand’s strategic thinking and identify opportunities for design development and product innovation.
Solution and Result
Periscopes Up dug deep into the worlds of consumer Bluetooth headsets and a year later, cutting edge headsets for call centers. In each case, we reviewed Jabra’s brand strategy and product positioning, developed specific methodologies and then headed out on the road to see how well each headset stood up with users.
The Bluetooth projects took us from LA to New York and Des Moines to San Antonio. For the B2B call center project, we developed structured interviews and focus groups, then conducted research with users and senior management at the offices of Apple, UPS and Royal Caribbean Cruises.
After meeting with almost two hundred users we provided strategic and product improvement recommendations, which in almost every case were adopted. This led to the revised product brands going to market.
