About Dave Alder, Founder and CEO
I’m an ex-pat from the gritty North East of England. My passion for all-things brand related came from a long career at the Virgin Group of Companies. There I held a variety of senior executive positions including the role of Chief Marketing Officer of the Entertainment Division. I strongly believe in the Branson school of marketing – be brave and take risks, be innovative, solve consumer problems by looking through their eyes, add value, think creatively but always be practical, and give back whenever you can.
Since leaving Virgin I’ve had the opportunity to put this into practice many times over with amazing global brands including Universal, MTV Networks, Forever 21, Jabra and Epix. Outside of the brand marketing and media worlds, I’m a music and entertainment fanatic wearing many hats including performer, music blogger, memorabilia collector, radio presenter, vinyl fanatic, songwriter, music history lecturer and independent label advisor.
After many years in London, LA, San Francisco and Austin, I now live in Florida with my partner and two teenagers.
